And part of doing this indie author thing my way is sifting through the available avalanche of information and choosing what is good for me. This post is about indie author Facebook Ad stats and my take of goals for my life

In my last post, you can see my numbers from before.

Update on Facebook ads: New subscribers – 170! So 271 total.

I know. It's not thousands, but it's more than I had before.

Stats on Mailchimp: Average Open Rate – 20% – which is way low from before, but when you consider I only had 82 subscribers before that open rate ratio will go down. (I am not a data expert! Is it making me income so I can publish the next book? Now that's data!) Open rate before – 40.7%-50.6%.

Yeah. A huge difference.

Average click rate – 1.4%. Before it was anywhere between 3.7%-6.6%.

Because of the ads and newsletters, I gained a couple speaking gigs and sold a couple books through this newsletter, but that's it.

The open rate was high, but because I have met most of the subscribers.

The ad is shut off now because it reached my spend lid. I'm kinda cheap, but I'm

learning. And kinda terrified if I spend too much money. Former credit card debt addict!

Next, I plan to create ads for The Great Escapee Series set.

My goals for the rest of the year? Write and publish more books–get more product out there. Quickly. Or as fast as possible when life takes its turns. Learning to be flexible and make adjustments as the turns happen.

I start to feel stressed when I read or listen to podcasts about all other authors are accomplishing, but I have to live my life and not theirs; list my own goals and check them off in my own time.

I think that is the freedom of an indie author–I'll do it my way.
