I keep thinking about Jesus and the last days before He was crucified. Jesus walked past Golgotha. He’d seen the crosses. He knew what happened there.
We don’t always know the future.
Did He?
He definitely had seen people die on those crosses. He knew.
He’d studied the Torah (the first five books of what we have as our Bible.). When he read a verse about Himself as a boy, did He run to Mary and point it out? “This is me.”
There are several historians from the time when Jesus lived and died. One, Ignatius of Antioch wrote a letter to the Smyrnaeans (ca. AD 110) – “He truly rose again.” It really happened. If you doubt, it’d be like doubting that Nebraska has corn fields or the migration of waterfowl. Just flip open a copy of Nebraskaland Magazine. There it is. There’s the proof.

Is it a Star or a Cross?
Check out a historian named Josephus. Better yet, check out the guy who wrote the book of John in the Bible. His name is John. Try chapters 14-19. No, all of John.
What was his mom Mary thinking about? She tucked things in her heart. Did she see Jesus’ expression as he walked past Golgotha, past the criminals dying there? Did something Jesus said make her think … ?
We worry today about what our kids and grandkids might have to go through.
Did Mary worry about Jesus? Did she know?
John13:1a – “Now before the Feast of the Passover began, Jesus knew (was fully aware) that the time had come for Him to leave this world and return to the Father.” – AMPC
The hundreds of Bible prophecies about Him: His birth, His ministry, His death.
He knew.
God had a plan.
He has a plan for you and me, too.
“‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’” – Jeremiah 29:11 NASBS
