When you can't find an image online, you make your own!

Doing the right thing backfires in a good way sometimes.

i wrote Rage Rising: My Walk Through the Dark Tunnel of Anger just like you would.

You are writing along, (yes I said you!) and certain memories are triggered. Or on a break when you are out-and-about, you see a billboard that reminds you of your writing topic.

“I just wrote about that this morning!”

Happen to you?

Me too.

In Rage Rising, there are several of those events: a book I read years ago, counseling I went through, podcasts I listened to, a new book out.

I referenced those in my book and linked to the websites.

In each case, although I clearly had given the people credit, I emailed each one explaining what I was doing. I asked for permission to use their work.

Each one emailed me back with very encouraging comments. And permission.

Orna Ross gave her go-ahead but added a sweet invitation.

Now I didn't have that planned when I wrote the book.

“Let's see who I can USE to gain notoriety!”

No.

She wrote back: “Yes, of course … Love to spread the power of these simple techniques. Thanks for the credit. Also: If you'd like to write a short post about it I'll feature it on my blog with your book launch news.”

Go here to read it and explore her website!

Blessed!

Grateful.
